Full honorific keigo, with its humble and exalted verb forms, belongs in customer-facing correspondence, warranty responses, and apology letters, and it takes real skill to write without sounding stiff.

A safety warning written in plain form reads as brusque; instructions written in heavy keigo bury the verb under formality and slow comprehension at exactly the moment a reader needs speed.
